The exhibition took place at Studio BOM for the Helsinki Design week. We made several sculptural pieces called Unguentaria (or Haudepullo in finnish). Unguentarium in latin means a small glass or ceramic bottle that was used to store perfumes, oils and other potions. We took the idea and made ampoules with water and essential oils. For the delicate glass ampoules, Päivi made beautiful brass holders, that create a sculptural ensemble. This summer, I spent one month in Taattisten tila working with local red clay from the Taattinen lake next to the farm house. She is a glass blower that works with laboratory glass and torchwork.&nbsp; I love her designs and look up to her as an artist. During the month I was able to see her work and I learned a lot about the craft that is not taught in Finland in any schools.
